TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment

The TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment Course is designed both people who are working as workplace trainers and assessors and also those who plan to move into the training and assessing field.

This course is delivered via blended learning, which is a combination of in class and self paced study. The course involves two blocks of five days of classroom delivery with a 4 to 6 week period between the two blocks. Outside of the 10 days, students are required to complete projects and assessment tasks. This course is open to all people over 18 years of age and there are no pre-requisites. On successful completion of this course, students will be qualified to gain employment as a trainer and assessor in their chosen industry throughout Australia.

The blended learning course involves approximately 275 hours of a combination of in-class and self paced learning.

Pathways

Attainment of the TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification is a requirement for gaining employment as a Trainer and Assessor within private and government Registered Training Organisations, and in a similar role within in organisations that are not RTOs. An emerging trend is for inclusion of Training & Assessing qualifications in ‘mainstream’ jobs across a broad variety of occupations and industries.

Classroom based with blended delivery, Course Credit and Upgrade / Assessment methods.

Corporate and Group Programs

Evidence shows organisations save money by developing internal experts, decreasing a company’s dependence on contractors and consultants and instead training current staff. Many people in the workplace involved in training were never formally trained. They have gradually moved into a position of training others by on the job experience. Classroom Based Blended Program

The TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment classroom based blended program involves 10 days of attendance in two separate blocks with self paced activities and projects. This is blended learning with integrated classroom learning supported by learning activities, assessment tasks and work-based practice between the workshop blocks. Class based programs are run regularly in Melbourne and Sydney.

Distance Blended Program

If you can't get to regular classes because you’re in a remote location or have heavy work or other commitments, this option is designed for you! It is a supported program in which one of our Tutors will guide you step by step through the process of achieving competence in the TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification. It runs over a 6 month period, which can be accelerated depending on your own commitments. As with the classroom based program, it involves preparation and presentation of lessons and design and implementation of a formal assessment in a workplace. If you live within reach of one of our regular class locations you can present your lessons there, with one of our regular groups. Otherwise you can present them in a workplace.


Upgrade Course

TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Upgrade Program for Holders of the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training Qualification.

If you have the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and are able to demonstrate current training experience, you will be eligible to attend the Upgrade / Assessment Program. Accepted applicants may gain the new qualification through individual assessment, classroom attendance, an evidence portfolio and other evidence gathering processes as individually necessary. Recognition of Prior Learning

Course Credits is offered to all applicants. It is structured to be time and cost effective. We start with a mapping procedure to assess suitability. A qualified Trainer / Assessor will be available to design an individual evidence gathering process, guide you through the Course Credit process and to assist you with any questions. Competence in additional Units may be demonstrated by evidence gathering and / or undertaking formal work in class based or distance training. Call or email for further information.




Pre-requisites

The TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment is suitable for people who are new to training as well as those with extensive experience. Students must be over 18 years of age. This qualification requires good language, literacy and computing skills and access to a computer. Projects are undertaken as part of completing the qualification, and a workplace or practice environment is needed.

 



Prices

Classroom Based Program. The price for the Nationally Accredited Program of 14 units of competency is only $1,890 inclusive of all learning materials. Participants may enroll in individual blocks of Units and pay the applicable price for those. Special: Enroll two weeks or more in advance and receive the special price of $1790. Payment plans available.

Distance Based Blended Program. The price for the Nationally Accredited Program of 14 units of competency is only $1,390 inclusive of all learning materials. Participants may enroll in individual blocks of Units and pay the applicable price for those. Payment plans available.

Upgrade Program. Fees for the holders of the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training who update to the Upgrade program are $1290. Special: Enroll two weeks or more in advance and receive the special price of $1190.

Course Credits (RPL, Credit Transfer and National Recognition) The price for the TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment via Course Credit Program: applicants may apply for Course Credit of part of the qualification or for the full qualification. An acceptable applicant will have current and significant experience in training. The costs associated with applying for Course Credit are; an initial $890 to have the applicant’s circumstances analysed and once suitability for Course Credit has been ascertained, then there will be a charge of $170 per additional unit of study (plus $200 for the required training materials) that needs to be undertaken to attain the TAA40104 Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification (i.e. if the applicant is not eligible for full Course Credit).Credit Transfer students wont be charged for units they are exempt for. They will receive a discounted rate on the course based on how many units they are exempt from.

The student fee includes all Training Manuals, CD with Templates, plus e-mail mentoring and support from your Trainer while you undertake your self-paced assessment tasks. There are no hidden costs.
