Deanne Whiteley

Deanne WhiteleyDeanne has a deep background in all facets of Human Resources, including training delivery & development, management coaching, counselling, employee relations and recruitment. She has worked across multiple industries in particular telecommunications, call centre, healthcare, higher education, not-for-profit and training.

Deanne brings a global perspective having lived and worked in numerous countries, most notably seven years in North America. Her experience working in both small business and multinationals helps her to relate to students from all backgrounds and successfully match training delivery to student needs.

An experienced facilitator, coach and counsellor, she is passionate about bringing out the best in people. Her training style focuses on fun, interactive classes which draw on the varied experiences of each student group. Engaging discussion orientated classes, combined with specially designed teaching activities support students in learning both the underlying theory and practical application.

Deanne is a qualified TAA and TAE trainer and assessor. She works in both the classroom and on-line tutoring.

 

 

Tony Thorne

TonyTony's depth of proactive training coaching and mentoring has extended across a number of decades and countries.

Developing and delivering training to a wide and diverse group of companies and organisations has allowed Tony to achieve effective outcomes to company goals through effective personalised training programs.

Tony's background and experience comes from within the Automotive Industry with years of training across NSW and beyond. In addition, exposure to the Fleet and Leasing industry further complimented the opportunities to develop and implement specifically targeted training programs.

Tony also has a depth of training across various levels of motor sport in which he has designed and delivered developmental programs to suit motor sport organisational groups across Australia, The Middle East and Asia.

He has an understanding and ability to adapt training programs to suit different environments, cultures and languages, while ensuring effective learning outcomes are achieved.

Tony is an experienced facilitator and consultant, and has a passion to deliver clear and effective training programs to ensure students' needs are not only met, but clearly exceeded.

Tony is an engaging and effective communicator and has the ability to connect with all student groups.

In joining Southern Cross Training in 2006, Tony is a qualified TAA and TAE Trainer, Assessor and Consultant, providing effective classroom and workplace learning and assessment experiences.

 

Manivannan

Trainer ManiManivannan is an energetic and versatile trainer, who exudes enthusiasm, sense of humour and a positive outlook that motivates the audience, instilling in them an enriching learning experience. He has rich experience working with people from all walks of life (from school students to staff in executive and managerial positions including senior management) and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable him to create a conducive, experiential and pro-active learning environment for all participants.

Manivannan has been in the field of education and training since he graduated in the 1980s. He holds a Masters Degree in Education and Training from the University of Southern Queensland (Australia), Master of Arts (Hons) Degree in History from University of Waikato (NZ), a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from NUS (Singapore), Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from NUS, Diploma in Human Resource Development from SIM, Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAA) and the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA-Singapore). He is also a Certified Facilitator for the Certified Service Professional (CSP) in Singapore.

He has extensive experience in the fields of Education and Training over the last 25 years. His areas of training ranged from Cert IV TAE, Instructional Design, Instructional Methods, Train the Trainers, Facilitation Skills, Presentation Skills, Case Writing, Study Skills for Students, Team Building, National Education and Military History. He is currently conducting the trainer certification programs such as Certificate IV In Training and Assessment (Cert IV TAE40110 - Australia) and the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA _ Singapore). Amongst those who have benefited from his training, include Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Institute of Adult Learning, National Institute of Education, Sands Group, Macau (Macau), Singapore Civil Service College, Singapore Home Team Academy, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and many other organisations (including schools and community clubs).

He has been involved in public speaking and Toastmasters for about 16 years and received the Distinguished Toastmasters Award from Toastmasters International (USA) in 2001. He has also helped to form six new Toastmasters clubs in Singapore, including the world's first Tamil Language Toastmasters club. He has participated in numerous speech contests and has won a few of them over the last 16 years. Amongst his notable achievements were having served as a Chief Judge in the World's first Toastmasters International Tamil Language International Speech Contest held in Singapore in May 2008, Speaker at the SIM Interest Group Convention in 2003 and 2007 and a finalist at the Toastmasters International District 51 International Speech Contest (English) held in Kuching, Malaysia in 2002.

 

Priscilla

Deanne WhiteleyPriscilla is passionate and engaging Facilitator. She is dedicated to providing her students with a positive learning experience by ensuring students are motivated to achieve the success they desire. Priscilla builds rapport with her students to ensure they feel comfortable in the learning environment.

Priscilla has been in the field of Education since graduating in the year 2001. She holds a degree in Business, with a Major in Human Resources and Industrial relations. She holds a Diploma in Vocational Education and Training and has gained her experience through her years working in the Training and Education industry.
